At Engineering Good, we embark on projects across two broad domains: Assistive Technology and Digital Inclusion. If you identify with our cause, we welcome all gestures of help but we really need help in specific areas! And for your convenience, we’ve listed them below. 😉
Some positions are permanent and some are seasonal. If the open positions do not resonate with you, fret not! We review our volunteer needs every quarter, so keep your eyes peeled 👀 — you might find something connecting in the future. (But this relationship is open k! Engineering Good champions inclusivity for persons with disabilities (PWDs) through the use of affordable, open-source, low-to-mid tech assistive technology. We consult with Community Partners to identify the challenges that users face. Makers craft solutions to these problems through deep collaboration and a participatory approach.
In a digitally connected world, a laptop is no longer a luxury but a necessity. Engineering Good receives decommissioned laptops from donors, refurbishes and distributes them to learners from vulnerable communities to upskill, support learning, and access academic and employment opportunities.
If you have the skills and a keen interest in troubleshooting, refurbishing, repairing, and cleaning laptops, we want you!
